If you prefer to get away before the weather gets sweltering, there are a few destinations you should consider first. And, if you’re looking for cruise deals, spring is a great time of the year to do just that!
Kyoto, Japan
Spring in Kyoto is nothing short of magical thanks to the pink cherry blossoms. From late March to early April, you can picnic under blooming trees in Maruyama Park or take a stroll along the Philosopher’s Path. During spring, the weather is also mild, and cultural traditions like hanami are in full swing, making this a perfectly relaxing holiday.
Seville, Spain
In spring, Seville comes alive with color, music, and flamenco. And since the temperature is warm without being unbearable, it’s a great time to explore the Alcázar, as well as the city’s flower-filled courtyards. If possible, try not to miss the Feria de Abril, a week-long festival featuring dancing, parades, and traditional dress.

Cherry blossoms are also the order of the day in Washington in spring. With the temperatures being mild and the flowers blooming, this is the perfect time to have a city getaway and enjoy walking tours, local museums, and outdoor picnics – Mowich Lake in Mount Rainier National Park is one of the best spots for this.

Summer turns Banff National Park into a sight to behold. Along with the picturesque scenery, July and August offer longer daylight hours, so you’ll have more time to hike, kayak, and spot wildlife. Lake Louise and Moraine Lake are especially photogenic.
Alaska, USA
Summer in Alaska means the days are longer, the weather is mild, and nature puts on quite a show. Along with the beautiful glaciers and meadows filled with wildflowers, there is an abundance of wildlife to see, including grizzly bears, moose, and humpback whales. It’s also a great time to hike, so don’t forget to pack your walking shoes.

Thanks to the midnight sun, you can look forward to endless daylight, plus the city comes alive with festivals, swimming, and open-air dining. During your stay, it’s highly recommended that you take a ferry to the archipelago to visit Gamla Stan. Enjoying fika (a Swedish coffee break) outdoors like a local is also a must.
